Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Long Beach, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Poke Kai at (562) 452-7675; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Long Beach is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Every poke bowl is different and this one is by far one of the yummiest Iβve had, the tuna is delicious and just the right amount of spicy , good and fresh flavors . Great portions as well

I went here because I saw a 4.7 review, but this place is completely overpriced, portions are pitiful, they don't do military discounts anymore apparently because of new management. Save your money and go somewhere else this place is not worth it.

Went at 7:30pm, about 30 minutes before close. Basic interior. Service was fine, nothing special. The rice, crab salad, and salmon were fresh. Skimpy on the sauce, toppings, and garnishes for a $18 meal. Out of a few toppings like avocado and green onion. Small variety of toppings compared to competitors. The spicy mayo was bland. The worst thing was that the white onion was definitely expired and it ruined the entire bowl. With some improvements this place could be a lot better. But for now, I'd recommend going somewhere else. There's no reason to pay market pricing for a lesser experience than competitors provide.

If you are ever wondering what to get your diabetic friend that loves raw fish, get them a pokΓ© bowl with salad instead of rice. If they are as diabetic as my friend is, then also be sure to go easy on the sweetened pickled ginger and the sweet sauces they offer to add on top.

I love this poke place. They are super friendly and fast! The person who helped me was helpful by explaining their ingredients and what the sizes were, without getting annoyed or bothered by me asking questions. I was served very quickly and it is a good amount of food. Very filling and delicious. Always fresh..I'm seriously always recommending people go here. Haha :) Want to add as well, the pricing is a bit up there but it is a good value for how much food they actually give you and considering its fresh ingredients. Update: Still stand by this review. Took my boyfriend there and he actually got full (that dude eats a ton) they also started serving ramen! Have not tried it but will do so next time I go. π
